Brown wings, a white chest and underbelly, plus blue feet = blue-footed booby!

Blue-footed booby

A parent is pictured here with it's chick, but if you find a fluffy white chick without an adult, it can be hard to tell the species!

See that white patch of feathers on the lower back? That can help identify the bird as a blue-footed when you only see the back.

Look at the pupil (dark center of the eye): that can tell you if it is a male or female. Males have a clear, round pupil. Females have a star-burst pattern, like this bird!
